Franklin Fountain

The FOUNTAIN GARDEN was designed as a series of stepped terraces that make a previously sloping terrain more usable for entertaining. A Kasota stone fountain was designed to complement the mid-century Mediterranean style of the house. The terraces are constructed of travertine with creeping thyme planted between the pavers. The plantings are primarily evergreen (spruce, white pine, hemlock, Medora Juniper, yew, pachysandra) designed to maximize the number of months that the garden is green, and minimize maintenance and watering requirements. Flowering crabs, Japanese tree lilacs, Ohio Buckeye, clematis and willow amsonia provide Spring flowers and autumn leaf color.
